Dr. P. R. Dubhashi
AThe Bhagwad Gita describes a "Buddhiman Manush" as a person who is wise among people, having a sound understanding and wisdom kindled with fire!
The life of Dr P. R Dubhashi was nothing short of it.
- A brilliant student winning the Gold medals for topping the Matriculation School exam in 1946
- MA in Economics in 1952.
He went on to join the IAS in 1953; serving the country at the highest echelons of Government service.
In June 1963, he attended the prestigious London School of Economics.
He was conferred the PhD. degree From University of Poona in 1986 and the D.Litt. from University of Bombay in 1989.
- He was a Jnan Jyoti, having a deep and profound understanding of the Bhagwad Gita, the Jnaneshwari and the Dasbodh ! He loved the singing of the poem “Pasayadan” by the school children of Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan (Pune chapter); of which he was the Chairman, from 1rst July 2008 to 2020.
- He was also fond of music and dance and encouraged the same; along with sports, and a healthy life style. “ Simple living and high thinking”. Always harmonious within himself-“Yogayukth”; he was like a tender coconut; soft inside !
